The MSPCA Nevins Farm Receives a $10,000 Donation from Jaffarian Volvo Toyota to Support the Merrimack Valley Community
Methuen, Massachusetts – November 13, 2018 – The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals at Nevins Farm is excited to receive a $10,000 donation from Jaffarian Volvo Toyota for their efforts to provide continued support to those impacted by the September 13th Gas Disaster. The funds donated for this crisis support the work of meeting the continued needs of those affected in the communities of Lawrence, Andover and North Andover.
Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals at Nevins Farm: Most of the animals that came to the MSPCA at Nevins Farm following the gas explosions and fires have returned home to their families, though a few animals will be in foster care with Nevins Farm for a longer period of time as their families’ homes have been badly damaged or destroyed. With a tremendous and heartwarming outpouring of love and donations of pet food, supplies, toys, bedding and linens already fully stocking us at the shelter! Nevins Farm anticipates that families without natural gas services for heat may need to come to us for pet bedding and ways to keep warm as the temperatures drop!
“Our customers came through again in partnership to the support our community and those in need”, said Gary Jaffarian, President and CEO of Jaffarian Volvo Toyota. “When crises happen, I’m proud of how the Merrimack Valley responds! Thank you to all of our customers!”
