ECCF Receives a $15,000 donation from Jaffarian Volvo Toyota to Support the Greater Lawrence Disaster Relief Fund
Danvers, Massachusetts – November 2, 2018 – The Essex County Community Foundation is excited to receive a $15,000 donation from Jaffarian Volvo Toyota of Haverhill for the Greater Lawrence Disaster Relief Fund to provide continued support to those impacted by the September 13th Gas Disaster. The funds donated for this crisis support the work of meeting the continued needs of those affected in the communities of Lawrence, Andover and North Andover.
“When tragedy strikes our friends and neighbors, it’s incredible to see how the business community rallies around them,” said Crystal Bates, ECCF’s director of development and communications. “ECCF is so grateful for support from Jaffarian, which will have a big impact now and in the coming weeks and months as the individuals and families affected by the fires work to rebuild their lives.”

Jaffarian Volvo Toyota has long been a part of the Merrimack Valley community and as a family-owned business are thankful for the support from the surrounding communities enabling the Jaffarian business to survive and grow. Giving back to the community is truly in the Jaffarian DNA. Making a difference and giving back started with first generation owners Fred and Alice Jaffarian and has been passed down to the third generation Jaffarian’s, brothers Gary and Mark, and fourth generation Gavin, Gary’s son. The local community partnerships are especially important, from supporting the local Boys & Girls Clubs, Emmaus House, YMCA, Toys for Tots with the US Marines, local sports teams and now the Essex County Community Foundation and Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals at Nevins Farm – the Jaffarian family continues to give back and help build stronger communities.
